Velodyne took the original SPL Series II's 1000-watt RMS amps, a 15' long-throw driver with an enormous motor structure, and compact, beautiful cabinets and added a 6-band automatic digital room equalizer with included mic, a remote control and full DSP control. The result is a subwoofer that adapts to any room's décor and acoustic anomalies with performance that leaves anything else in its class in the dust.
High-powered performance
One of the keys to high-performance sound is having enough power to deliver the impact you crave. Able to handle roaring crescendos with up to 2000W of peak power, this subwoofer is exactly what you're looking for. To aid this subwoofer in the production of deep, rich bass notes, the 15" front-firing driver is set in a die-cast aluminum basket.

The advantages of this subwoofer are clear. It combines features like a 3" inside/outside voice coil and a Kevlar-reinforced resin cone for lasting durability and enhanced audio quality. In addition, this speaker uses a 21.6 lb. magnet to massively boost your sound and gold-plated line-level and speaker-level inputs to clearly transmit audio signals.

The average speaker is not designed to handle powerful sounds at extremely low frequencies. To compensate for that, this subwoofer handles the extreme bottom of the audible range with frequency reproduction from 20Hz to 120Hz. It also provides a high-pass crossover at 80Hz and an adjustable low-pass crossover from 40Hz to 120Hz.
