A50i / A50iR Integrated Amplifiers
Price: œ510 A50i (Silver only)
Price: œ595 A50iR with Remote Control (Silver only)
The A50i/A50iR integrated amplifiers followed on from the highly revered 4330 range of
amplifiers and it became immediately apparent that substantial improvements have taken
place. At first glance the sleek styling makes the A50i range highly desirable.
The Creek 50 series integrated amplifiers are innovative in the true sense of the word.
Using proprietary circuitry developed by Creek engineers, the A50i guarantees an
exceptional level of performance. In designing the A50i and A50iR, the multitude of vinyl
enthusiasts were not forgotten and a range of optional plug-in modules is available to
match both moving magnet and moving coil cartridges.
The A50i is the standard non-remote version - the A50iR has remote volume capability.
The accompanying ARC 53 handset providing remote volume control measures just
11.5cm x 5.5cm, so that it sits comfortably in the palm of the hand.

CD 50 mkII CD Player
Price: œ850 (Silver only)
With special attention paid to reducing jitter, an improved and symmetrical layout with shorter signal paths, the
mk2 has much better measured performance than its predecessor, with signal to noise and THD figures much lower than
on the CD50. This is due to the mk2 having distributed power supplies with 7 digital and 5 analogue low noise voltage
regulators and low noise resistors. A higher frequency clock oscillator is used in the mk2 and is synchronised with
the micro controller and buffer clock to minimise internal interference. Two separate high current mains transformers
are used in the CD50 mk2. The voltage to the digital and analogue circuitry, display and ROM drive are kept completely
separate, for maximum interference immunity.
Front panel controls include Play, Stop, Pause, Open/Close, Skip Forward, Skip Back, Search Forward, Search Back,
Shuffle, Repeat and Standby functions. They are supplemented by an attractive full feature Creek SRC1 system remote
control handset utilising RC5 type codes.
The rear panel has a mains switch, together with the usual fused IEC mains inlet. A pair of gold plated Phono/RCA
sockets is provided for un-balanced analogue output and (SPDIF) digital outputs are via a transformer coupled
Phono/RCA socket.

T50 FM/AM RDS Tuner
Price: œ550 Ssilver only)
To achieve state of the art sensitivity and selectivity, the T50 uses a dual-conversion method of retrieving radio
signals, which combined with a single stage broadly tuned front-end, allows the T50 to pick out weak stations
from the airwaves when they are closely situated in frequency to a strong local station. Local AFC also allows
the digital bus to be switched-off when not in use, maintaining even lower levels of digital interference to the
radio signal. Surface Mount Technology and the use of double sided plated through hole printed circuit boards
provide a high level of interference suppression and help to achieve professional levels of performance.
All the active devices in the T50 are controlled by a digital I2C bus, which allows the design of the tuner to
be updated by changing the codes in its microcontroller. Future upgrades, or changes of country settings are
made easy as these custom features and station pre-sets are held in a non-volatile memory, similar to that of
a PC computer, with up to a maximum of 99 memory locations available for FM and 29 for AM. The vacuum fluorescent
display is easy to read, and when coupled with the intuitive Creek system remote handset - which is standard with
the T50 - control is effortless.
The open and dynamic sound capabilities of the T50 will be restricted by the quality of the aerial or antenna
used, distance from the station and the source quality from the chosen radio station.

5350SE Amplifier
Price: œ850 (Silver)
Price: œ895 (Black)
Built in an aluminium case, with a machined solid aluminium front panel the 5350SE provides superior sound quality,
look and feel. The 5350SE is constructed in a modular way, with a separate power amp, pre-amp and remote volume
control circuit boards, connected with computer grade flat cables, plugs and sockets. It features a passive pre-amp
circuit, providing no additional gain to the source signal. Although not strictly necessary, it can be configured
with an active pre-amp, if required, by plugging-in the optional 53LINE circuit board with 6dB's of gain. An
optional MM or MC Phono pre-amp can also be plugged-in to further increase the flexibility of this fine integrated
amplifier.
The Remote control circuit uses a motorised ALPS 6 way rotary switch, to select the desired input, and high grade
16 and 27 mm motorised volume potentiometers, controlled either manually or via the remote handset. In addition,
the 5350 SE can be set to record one input, while simultaneously listening to a different input, similar to a
video recorder.
To accommodate Bi-wiring and Bi-amping, the 5350SE is fitted with 2 pairs of high current speaker binding posts plus
separate pre-amp output and power amp input sockets. Speaker A/B selection is switchable from the front panel.
The 5350SE is designed to work normally with its Pre-Amp and Power Amp joined together on the back panel sockets.
Initially this was enabled with solid wire links that jumped the signal from one socket to another. In an attempt
to upgrade the performance and flexibility of the 5350SE, Creek discontinued using the factory fitted solid links
across the Pre and Power sockets and now supplies 2 RCA splitters which are used to bridge the two sockets. The
upgrade serves to allow connection to this point of the circuit, so that the amplifier could also drive an external
device, like an active Sub-Woofer.
